Kedelig. Mange gentagelser, store time-jumps, manglende udvikling og flade karakterer gør historien meget tung at komme igennem. Elskede ellers Jordens Søjler og Uendelige Verden, så jeg var meget skuffet.

Det er den kedeligste bog, jeg længe har læst. Pillars of the earth er stadig en af de bedste bøger, jeg nogensinde har læst. 2,3 og 4 er også gode, men den her er på intet tidspunkt spændende og jeg måtte flere gange gå tilbage i bogen under aflytningen fordi jeg begyndte at tænke på andre ting i stedet for bogen. Bogen skulle bare ‘overstås’.

Plejer at være helt vild med KF’s bøger men den her var ikke spændende som de andre.

Rigtig god fortælling, meget lig de tidligere bøger i serien, men den ligner især Den Evige Ild i sin stil. Man skal kunne lide de historiske begivenheder og lange samtaler.Selve rammen er genkendelig, med unge og ældre der først forstår deres kærlighed mod slutningen og de gode vs de onde.
